While on deployment in Afghanistan (OEF 2013-2014), all I thought about was my family and how I couldn't wait to get home to be with them.  Those thoughts got me through some of the most darkest, toughest times of my life. Family is the most important thing to me. I also thought about building a business my family and I could grow together in the event I was fortunate enough to return home. As a child I remember my mother always had candles burning around the house while we cooked and cleaned, or even spent time relaxing together in the living room. We also had candles burning for holiday family gatherings, so to me it only made sense to build a business based on what I associated with family, love, peace, and happiness. After studying different types of wax used in candles and seeing what was the most natural, I researched fragrance oils and soothing wicks that could complement the look I was going for.
